I   woke up very early Sunday morning as
Tantan was knocking at my door : Pam Pam
Pam. Well, that morning, I decided to visit
Tantan’s garden to see what he had to offer,
his CD I meant.

It has been a while since we last enjoyed
this talented artist, and many are still hoping
for a Lakol comeback. In his solo album,
Tantan decided to guide his visitors though
his dreams, deeply tainted with love stories.
There could not have been a better choice
than Pam Pam Pam to start this  CD infected
with many soothing melodies and Tantan’s
talent as a singer could not be better
expressed. Just by reading the track names
one can tell this is more like a fantasy
project, but it is so beautifully done that it
makes a perfect laser to be played by the
beach, at home on weekends, in the
mountains… This CD is a Konpa if some
allows me to name it as is, but deeply
influenced by R&B and maybe some Zouk
love. Apart from Tantan’s excellent voice,
but at times too repetitive, the guitarist
provided the ultimate touch with occasional
typical Konpa licks laced with  Rock-style
groove at times.
To me, most of the tracks, even those in
Creole, should do well among communities
who love them some soft R&B and Zouk
love. Again, most if not all the songs, are
about love, and the lyrics are for the most
part weak, but again if you accept Tantan’s
invitation to read his dreaming mind, you
can only enjoy it. Unfortunately credentials
are no where to be found on the CD, a very
important aspect of any public product.

Pam Pam Pam, the love of my life is
knocking and joining me on this journey; No
need to say I am GooGoo Gaga looking at
her moving her Pear-shaped hips like
Kloutoup Kloutap_ and of course it is time to
go.
