I finally got my CD on Sunday at the sakapfet BBQ. I just had to have it. I didn’t regret
my purchase. The CD is good. Mika did a wonderful job. Tonton chapo ba. With that CD
you’ve showed us that you settle for the best. Trop pale anpil, let me get down to
business.

BEL FANM
I’m sure that many of you have heard it already; therefore no did to summarize it. Yo
chanje chante a.
-The trumpet is cool; at first I didn’t like it. It give the song more a kompa rhythm.

YON TI CHANS
A guy who loves a girl, he wants to show her how much he loves. Their loves is stronger
then everything.
-Nice melody. Mwen fou pou ti rap la ki ladann, li few anvi danse epui li bay chante a
yon ti gete. Lyrik yo fre.

I’M SORRY
The guy wants his girlfriend to forgive him for what he did.
-“Pinga’w janm fe’m enmi, oh baby!” j’ adore la melodie de cette phrase. I love the
French part of the chorus. The keyboard is awesome. Chante sa ap fre nan bal. It’s a slow
kompa. Se chante pou ou danse avek menaj ou.

PAKAB ANKO
Song for Haiti. You know how Mika loves his country. In that song, he summarizes the
different problem that are present in Haiti. It has a reggae style. Mainly he is saying that
he can’t take it anymore “Pakab anko”. Its time for us to do something, we can’t stand
there and do nothing. So people wake up Haiti is crying for help.
-Don’t like the Jamaican talking at the beginning of the song. Darlin, chante sa se pou
Haiti, ou paka di sa se pou tout rastaman ladan.
I like the bit. The song makes you stop and think about the situation of our country and
the ways to help in come out of the pain its in. Well that is how the song makes me feel.

SONJE
That girl is different from all the other girls that he met in the past. The night he met her
was perfect and unforgettable.
-I like the background bit throughout the song. Its different from the version that was
out. I luv this version better. Rap la jus fre nan fen an.
Eske’w sonje premye fwa de zye nou te kwaze
Menm tan te’w kanpe pou lanmou’n pale
Pasyon nou te telman fo li te manifeste
Zwazo te sispan vole pou we nou kap love
I love those lyrics. I like the way his voice changes when he raps.

SI’M TE GEN ZEL (VOLE)
That is the “If” song. If I had this, I would do that. etc
-The melody makes you want to sing; when I listen to it the sky comes in my mind. Lyrik
you pa profon. When I first listened to the song, I didn’t see the point. Kounyen a mwen
fou pou chante a. I love the background singers. Guitar: awesome.

DEPALE
Manmzel fe musie depale. That is self-explanatory.
-My personal favorite in the slow songs. Verses in French, chorus in kreyol, mixage
original. Its a zouk. Chante sa ap pran nan bal. Like I said before, medam chache menaj
nou, musie idem pou nou. Guitar: excellent. I love when Mika sings in French.

COUNT ON ME
The song he wrote for Grego, Gregory Brierre. This song is to tell a friend in problems
that you are there for them no matter what. You can count of me all the time, and I will
be there.
-That song just takes me away. I first listened to it in 2002 at Café des Arts in Haiti.
Honestly, I cried. It still makes me cry, from time to time. I love the part where Melodie
sings.

PARADISE
He wants to bring the luv of his life to paradis (fason de parler)
-Kompa all the way. Nice song, lyrics, melody. Very danceable. Mwen fou pou chante a.

FANATIK
No need to explain. Fanatic that is for us
-Nice melody. Le ou komanse tandel, li few souke ko’w. Men to tell you the truth, I’m
not feeling the lyrics. Je trouve qu’elles manquent, but I can’t put my finger on the
problem. Epuis il y a trop de repetitions.

NYC Party (Blokop remix)
It’s the remix of Blokop from “Vwayaj”, Mikaz first CD.
-I like the remix. Beautiful bit, its entertaining. It will keep you dancing that is a fact.
Gen kek pati chante a ke yo ka mete nan yon chante kanaval. J’adore quand Mika chante
en francais.

OVER YOU
The title is also self-explanatory.
-Nice voice, shmabzz. The guitar stood out. I can’t stand the girl when she talks
throughout the song, wouch, but the part where she sings is cute. Ti Lionel ou ka fe yon
jan pou chante sa al sou MTV, BET ou byen nan radio. Its nice. Men fo yo ranje fin an,
li koupe chante a tro vit. Se komsi chante a pat fini epui yo koupe li.

BLE E WOUJ (Kanaval)
That is Mika’s carnaval.
-Mwen pa konnen poukisa titre denye chante yo sou pochette CD a. The carnaval is cute.

Bon I have reached the end of my review. Overall the CD is awesome. Mika you did a
wonderful job. The CD was worth the long wait. Men sel bagay, please don’t make us
wait that long for the third one. Ti Lionel congratulations for putting your time into
that CD. Thank you to all the people that worked on it as well, you all did a wonderful
job. Thank you. The cd cover and the book are original. Les photos sont magnifiques.
Mika chapo ba, I know that you won’t let us down. Words can’t tell you, how much I
